Organic baby food maker’s voice skill persuades picky eaters.
“I don’t like carrots!” Or tomatoes or cucumber or broccoli – delete as appropriate. As every parent knows, picky kids can make mealtimes a bit of a challenge. But now, organic baby food maker Sprout Foods has enlisted smart skill technology to help talk kids into eating their veg.
The new Sophie Sprout voice skill for Amazon Alexa plays catchy, food-themed songs while the Mealtime Adventure feature guides kids through a spoon-feeding game. It also includes other tactics to get them eating more fruit and veg.
The use of voice assistants with skills aimed specifically at kids is growing rapidly. The Amazon Echo already has a number of child-orientated skills reaching a new generation of smart-speaker users. So open wide, here comes the big aeroplane.
