We’ve all had a housemate who hogs the washing machine, or leaves their clothes in there for days on end till they start to go fusty. With services such as WeLive and communal living becoming more popular, household appliances designed to support co-living, could really clean up.
Designed by Kyumin Han, Quinque is a new concept for a washing machine that comes with two chambers.
In one chamber the clothes are washed, while the other is divided into five compartments to store your clothes between washes, so other members of the household can get on with their laundry.
Quinque could be a neat solution that saves you having to air your dirty laundry in house-shares. You can pre-programme the machine to order washes, and use your phone to check what compartments are free or if your wash is ready to be picked up.
