Child obesity is a big problem. One that Tuckrbox is trying to solve – one lunch box at a time. The crowd-funded startup delivers lunch boxes with food sourced from local farms and purveyors to schools.
It can be tricky trying to get children to make healthy choices. So Tuckrbox has teamed up with ROKO Labs to create a fun app that lets children choose what they’d like delivered for lunch. Before kids can tuck in, their chosen menu is sent to parents for approval.
Winner of the App Idea Awards, Tuckrbox is a great example of how food and tech businesses can cook up ways of changing how we eat, and make food more sustainable and healthy.
