A modern milk delivery service has hit the streets of India to help battle the haphazard system that’s been in place for years. It’s been launched after reports suggest that 68% of milk has been either watered down or had nasties added to it – like detergent, caustic soda, glucose, white paint or refined oil.
Supr Daily – a start up from Mumbai – is dedicated to making sure Mumbai residents get pure milk directly from farms. To make the service ‘Supr easy’ the brand communicates with customers via a mobile app and whatsaap – delivering bread, eggs and butter direct to their doors. Over the last year, 500,000 deliveries have been made to 15 neighbourhoods, and the brand hopes to cover the entire city before the end of 2017.
What a marvellously milky model.
