Diesel is dead. Petrol is passé. Hydrogen is what’s happening. Unless you’re an actual deviant, your car’s exhaust pipe probably doesn’t make you lick your lips in thirsty anticipation. But that’s because you’re not driving Honda’s new FCX Clarity.
Proving that ‘The power of dreams’ is more than a tag-line, Honda Australia has dreamt up a car that runs on compressed gas yet produces zero harmful emissions. All that comes out the other end is good old H2O. And it’s so pure that Honda Australia has bottled it, branded it, and distributed it free to cinemagoers.
The bottle’s label reads: “Delicious, fresh H2O from a pristine mineral spring, cool mountain glacier or… the exhaust pipe of the Honda FCX. The world’s first hydrogen-powered car that emits only water. Water so clean and pure, you could put it in a bottle and drink it. Now isn’t that refreshing?”
One more step – or acceleration – towards solving the world’s water and air pollution crises?
