Ever wish you had the culinary finesse to be a top chef? Whirlpool has partnered up with food tech innovator, Innit. They’re adding food intelligence into appliances, so you don’t have to worry about becoming a domestic god or goddess.
Jenn-Air ovens, one of Whirlpool’s premium brands, is the first to get kitted out with Innit. The platform uses technology such as cameras and scales to improve automated cooking. Little tricks, such as adjusting the temperature according to the weight of the food, will make sure your dinner is worthy of a Michelin star.
Innit also gives users access to a digital database of recipes, and can suggest meals based on your preferences, dietary requirements – or just whatever you’ve got in the fridge.
Eugenio Minvielle, founder and president of Innit explains, “Nearly every aspect of our lives has benefitted from digital innovation, but food and the kitchen are still largely analog. Together, Innit and Whirlpool Corporation are bringing forward a new class of technology to empower people through food, while maximizing simplicity and enjoyment”.
