Bose sunglasses use AR to create an immersive audio experience...
We’ve seen a number of innovations in recent years using AR tech to overlay visual information onto the user’s view. Now Bose Frames are doing something similar, but using AR to create immersive audio experiences instead. The sunglasses work like wireless headphones, but feature micro-acoustics built into the frames and allow voice control too. This extra functionality means users can stream music and information, make calls, and access virtual assistants.
Powered by Bose’s audio AR platform, the glasses use a 9-axis head motion sensor to detect the user’s position, together with the GPS from an iOS or Android device. They can then add a layer of audio relevant to the location – music, podcasts, or other audio elements.
