As the temperatures rise this Summer many of you will be tempted to head to the beach and grab an ice cream. Which makes it all the more intriguing that one of the world’s leading ice cream brands – Ben & Jerry’s – have actually launched a new flavour to try and keep the temperature down. (Cool spot, Julie.)
We’re talking climate change here, of course, and with the Paris Climate Summit only six months away, Ben & Jerry’s are encouraging world leaders to commit to using 100% clean energy by 2050. Their non-profit partner Avaaz.org already has 2.7 million signatures on their petition for governments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and keep warming below 2º Celsius.
And the flavour of this world-changing ice cream? Raspberry with swirls of marshmallow and dark and white fudge cones. Which we’re sure is significant in some way that we’ve yet to fathom.
