As part of Clerkenwell Design Week, London studio Layer – led by designer Benjamin Hubert – is unveiling a 3D-printed GO wheelchair.
With a made-to-measure seat and foot bay, Layer has worked with wheelchair users and medical professionals to understand the limitations of what’s available now in the mobility category, and then create ‘a tool to improve the quality of life of wheelchair users’.
We love to see such human-focused projects using technology to solve significant, meaningful problems. And we can’t wait to see it for real during the festival at the end of May.
