S:t Eriks Brewery decided no bar snack was good enough for their India Pale Ale, so they teamed up with the Swedish National Culinary Team to brew a batch of the ‘world’s most expensive potato chips’.
A single box contains just five crisps, and costs 499 SEK – around $57 a pop. We sure hope the beer is good, because you’d have to be wasted to pay that for crisps…
According to brewery worker Marcus Friari, “S:t Eriks Brewery is one of Sweden’s leading microbreweries and we are passionate about the craftsmanship behind our beer. At the same time, we have known that there have been no snacks on the same scale to serve it. A premium beer deserves a premium snack and therefore we have invested heavily in developing the world’s most exclusive potato chips”.
