Maple is a delivery-only restaurant that uses data in all of its recipes. The New York startup has a data-powered kitchen that uses real-time web analytics to cook up a storm.
From the sous chef, to the chef de partie, every section of the kitchen has its own app. The software uses an algorithm that factors in demand, delivery routes, and cooking time, to tell staff when and what they should be doing.
When things are on full heat, Maple can deliver around 1,200 meals an hour. Now that’s a tasty use of data.
