Clear offers passangers a way to skip the cues and leave their id in their wallet.
New York start-up Clear is tackling a consistently weak part of every customer journey—the security entrance. Their mission is simple yet powerful: “help people move at the speed of life.” By signing up for membership, consumers enter a world where their biometric data (specifically their eyes and fingertips) become their unique key to entry. The starting price for an annual Clear membership is $179.
Currently, membership only covers airports and stadiums, but this company is still in its’ infancy, our bet is quick growth.
For air travel, Clear has partnered with Delta Airlines, giving their fliers the option to sign up and speed seamlessly through security check points.
For Stadiums, Clear is working with Major League Baseball, to streamline access. Allowing members to go through special biometric VIP lines without even needed to pull out a ticket.
