Here at Poke Towers, we love a positive news story on a Friday afternoon. Especially when it involves beer.
No Label is the world’s first ‘non-binary, postgender beer’. Launched by BrewDog in London’s Soho, this 4.6% ABV Kölsch is designed to reflect the diversity of the local area and champion inclusivity. It’s brewed using hops that have changed sex from female to male flowers before being harvested, and is BrewDog’s way of saying: our beer can be whatever the hell it wants to be, and so can everyone else.
BrewDog created No Label in partnership with Queerest of the Queer: an events organisation that celebrates the diversity and talents of the LGBTQI+ community. All profits from No Label will go to Queerest of the Queer, and will help them support charities in the sector.
Very refreshing, we reckon.
