British Airways are thinking about bringing on board a digital pill that would track how passengers are feeling throughout their journey. The edible sensor would keep an eye on things like your body temperature, sleep cycle, heart rate, and stomach acidity to limit the effects of jet lag.
With the right data, flight attendants could advise travellers when to eat or sleep based on their body’s needs and travel destination.
From Valium to Xanax, popping a pill to make travel more bearable is nothing new, but there’s something uncomfortable about handing over this level of personal information. We’re not so sure the idea will take off.
