Pop-up stores invite Christmas shoppers to buy gifts for refugees
Christmas, we’re often reminded, is a time for giving. Among consumers, there’s an increasing migration towards brands that show an awareness of wider issues and offer the opportunity to give something back at this time of year.
Case in point. Choose Love pop-ups in Manhattan and London allow consumers to buy gifts for refugees in 80 international camps. Items on sale include essentials like clothes and sleeping bags, as well as longer term gifts, such as education vouchers.
The 2017 London pop-up raised £1m, confirming the consumer appetite for retail with a charitable dimension.
Merry Christmas. Give generously.
