Facial recognition technology identifies the reader and weaves their data into the narrative...
A really good read often leaves you wondering what it might be like if you’d been part of the story. Well now, a new interactive installation created by New York-based art director Lim Si Ping places you the reader at the heart of the narrative. The so-called ‘facebook’ uses facial recognition technology to scan your face and match your profile with data tracked through search engines.
Taking your name, age, gender, location and birth date, your data is then woven into the story and as you turn the pages, the book becomes a story about you. Everyone who interacts with the book experiences their own unique narrative, created from their personal data.
What’s your story?
