In a biometric study, Ebay discovered that our heart rates can increase by 33% when we’re Christmas shopping – that’s the same as running a marathon. In light of this, the online auction site created a two-day pop up to promote HIIT shopping.
Similar to HIIT workouts (high intensity interval training), HIIT shopping is all about short effective bursts of activity to take the stress out of finding the perfect gift.
When it comes to Christmas presents, often your face says it all. So Ebay teamed up with tech company Lightwave to use bio-analytic technology to scan facial reactions to different products. Based on this, shoppers were given a list of recommended products to buy. Ebay are yet to find a solution to the wrapping.
