While some ads inspire outrage and protest, pet food brand Purina is actively encouraging Parisian dog-owners to let their pooches pee on its billboards. It’s all for a good cause though, the billboards double as veterinary testing stations. After gathering a sample of urine, they can deliver an on-the-spot assessment of your dog’s health.
Created with McCann Paris, the Street-Vet billboards release pheromones to encourage dogs to pee on them. The urine is then collected within the billboard stand and screening technology is used to detect whether the dog has diabetes, kidney problems, urinary infections or cholesterol issues. Results are then displayed on the board within 30 seconds.
If a problem is detected, the Street-Vet recommends a Purina ProPlan product that meets the dog’s dietary needs. Owners can also download the test results and take them to a vet for further advice.
