Food has the amazing power to bring people together. And that’s exactly what the Conflict Kitchen is trying to do.
The Pittsburgh-based take-away changes its menu based on geopolitical events and which countries the United States is in conflict with (no shortage of options there then). So far, the restaurant has featured Iranian, Afghan, Palestinian, Venezuelan, North Korean, and Haudenosaunne cuisines.
By accompanying meals with performances, talks, and publications, it’s hoped the Conflict Kitchen will help feed debate.
