It’s well known that one of the attributes of vodka is feeling foggy, but now you can buy vodka made with actual fog.
With some help from Canadian conservation charity, FogQuest, California-based distillery, Hangar 1, has launched Fogpoint – a vodka that uses 60% fog harvested water.
The non-profit FogQuest, uses large-scale mesh fog catchers to collect thousands of litres of water. Previous projects include using the mesh to gather water for monks in the mountains of Nepal.
To make Fogpoint, fog catchers are suspended above the San Fransisco Bay Area. It takes 6 months to catch enough water for 2,400 bottles of the vodka, which retail at $125 a pop.
