Shoppers at U supermarket (one of the biggest in France) can be pretty sure the fish they’re buying hasn’t been out of the water for long. That’s because of Snapcodes and some stylish specs that have been passed from fisherman to buyer to fishmonger – who’ve all recorded their experience along the way.
Shoppers can basically snap a QR code on a label that’s linked to a Snapchat account, and see the fish’s journey over the last few hours. And, the fact Snapchat stories only last 24 hours, is how shoppers know it’s fresh.
Now that’s an oppor-tunaty not to be missed.
