It turns out that around one million plastic bags are used every minute. To reduce waste and help the planet, EnviGreen has created a formula for sustainable carrier bags.
Four years in the making, the bags are made up with 12 ingredients, including bananas, flower oil, tapioca and corn. They’re organic, naturally biodegradable – and even edible. So if you don’t like chucking things out, you could always tuck in…
When left to their own devices, the bags take about three months to decompose. Or if you’re short of storage space under the kitchen sink, you can pour boiling water onto the bags and they’ll disappear in seconds. So far, EnviGreen’s bags have been picked up by several retail chains in India, Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
