In a bid to reduce sugar intake among its customers, French supermarket Intermarché has served up a rather tasty step-by-step solution. Its six-packs of own-label chocolate desserts have been designed to work like a progressive sugar detox.
The first pot contains 5% less sugar than the average pot, the second 10% less, the third 20% less, and so on to the sixth pot which contains 50% less sugar, thus leading customers down the path towards less sugar, with a bit of chocolatey creaminess along the way.
Intermarché confidently claims that from the first to the last, people won’t be able to taste the difference. Sweet. (But not sugary.)
