Brewer targets Amsterdam travellers with personalised beer
Travelling to Amsterdam, it’s good to know there’s a cold refreshing beer waiting for you on arrival. To make sure that happens, and to make sure that beer’s a Heineken, the Dutch brewer is targeting visitors up to a month before they arrive. (Cheers Georgie!)
Heineken uses travel data from airline and hotel partners to identify visitors to the Dam. As soon as they’ve booked, they’re offered the chance to sign up for a personalised bottle of Heineken. In the month before arrival, participants are kept updated via Facebook Messenger as their beer is being brewed.
On arrival, visitors collect their beer from the Heineken Experience at the brewery itself. It’s labeled with the name of the participant and wrapped in a personalised map to help them explore the city. Proost!
