Drinking has never been more accessible — or more high-tech. Italian architect, Carlo Ratti, is reimagining urban hospitality with Guido, a robotic cocktail bar hailed through an app. Two mechanical arms create mixed drinks in a matter of seconds. One arm shakes and stirs while the other pours and serves. The ultimate machine multi-tasking.
Customers simply order on the app, and then the driverless vehicle navigates traffic toward the agreed upon destination, a la Uber. It’s capable of verifying IDs as well as processing contact payments. Efficient, connected and legal. In addition to giving people unprecedented convenience and flexibility, it could also help create new social venues in cities.
