The Sage Project will help you make wiser food choices. From allergen info to hidden grams of salt and sugar, the app tells you what the retailers won’t.
Launched in 2016, there are over 20,000 products on Sage Project’s database. It has some tasty features too. You can filter products based on nutrition, certification, health preferences and social preferences. It will even work out how much exercise your food is equal to.
“Food labels are a data visualisation that we see every day, but we don’t get a lot from them,” says Sam Slover, co-founder and CEO of the Sage Project. “Those labels make assumptions about what you know and what you want to know”.
