Long established as the beauty brand that recognizes and celebrates body diversity, Dove in collaboration with Ogilvy London has taken the idea and got physical with it. A limited-edition set of Real Beauty body wash bottles come in various shapes and sizes, reflecting a range of women’s body types.
According to Ogilvy Creative Director Dede Laurentino, “It’s one of those rare ideas which condenses decades of a brand’s legacy in two seconds”.
Response to the bottles has ranged from rave to ridicule, but the fact remains, it’s an idea that cleverly synthesises brand essence and product structure to make a clear statement.
