Dunkin’ Donuts introduces voice-ordering function through Google Assistant
Donut fans in the US can now have their sugary treats ready and waiting for them in store so they can avoid waiting in line. This voice-ordering function is brought to customers via Google Assistant, which locates the customer’s nearest store using Google Maps. All customers need to do is become a member of the Dunkin’ Donuts reward scheme and link it to their Google account – and hey presto, they can complete the transaction using nothing but their own voice.
This move follows the growing popularity of spending through voice activation. According to Gartner, 30% of web browsing will be conducted by voice by 2030.
