Spotify puts a funny spin on streaming data…
Remember the ‘Thanks 2016. It’s Been Weird’ campaign”? The one where music streaming giant Spotify created outdoor ads that read ‘Dear person who played “Sorry” 42 times on Valentine’s Day, what did you do?’. Well, it’s back this year and will soon be hogging billboards around the world. The campaign – called 2018 Goals – was created by Spotify’s in-house creative team and features 70 artists that, according to Spotify’s data, are popular in that city/area.
The campaign also includes billboards in New York, LA and Miami where people can take pics with their heads poking through cut out holes and share them on social media. Spotify got a whopping 669,000 shares for the 2016 campaign, so we’re keen to see how many this year’s racks up.
