This week saw the launch of our redesign for Bohemia – Heineken’s oldest premium Mexican beer brand. It’s had some great press coverage from the likes of The Dieline, Packaging of the World and FoodBev Media to name a few. Needless to say our London studio and the client are thrilled with the results. It’s just a shame you can only drink it in Mexico, and not round the corner in Soho!
KNIGHT OF THE ELM
Every six months we invite staff to nominate a colleague from any studio that they feel has gone above and beyond the call of duty. We’re delighted to announce that Sir Robert Skelly, Design Director in our Leeds realm, had the most nominations and has been named our latest ‘Knight of the Elm’. Some say “he bleeds green” and the videos he creates “are worth of an Oscar”. His portrait will be hung on the wall of every studio in true One Elmwood style.
BRAND EXPERIENCE: WHY DESIGN MATTERS
Last week at Cannes Lions Festival our Managing Director, Jon White, joined the Creativepool debate to cover the topic of ‘Advertising versus Design’. He believes that consumers and shoppers don’t just want to buy products, services or brands anymore. The truth is they want fulfilling and uplifting experiences that make them feel good and support their buying decisions. WE ❤ TYPOGRAPHY
It’s no secret that our New York studio are obessed with typography, so we’re not surprised they had a visit from Tom Foley, typography adviser at Dalton Maag. As well as an update on recent projects, he gave them a guide to choosing multiple fonts that work in harmony. They were left drooling and full of ideas to put into practice soon.
