

The Met Office is a world leader in weather forecasting and climate change research, but their profile didn’t match their impact. They needed to change perceptions, both internally and externally, and transform their image from a data provider to a solutions provider.

A positive identity
Following a series of workshops with Met Office staff, we helped unveil a new promise: “Making a positive impact on your world.”
We developed a flexible wave graphic from the existing logo that can be applied across a range of media. The refreshed identity shed light on how the Met Office’s work touches everyone at some level.

Bright future forecast Next, we created tone of voice and brand guidelines that staff could use to create their own bespoke communications. The brand was rolled out across many print and digital platforms, from literature to the website – we even brought the brand story to life in the Met Office’s Exeter HQ. It serves as a constant reminder to staff and visitors alike of the vital role that the Met Office plays.
