Bourjois creates connected stand in its Paris boutique that superimposes lipstick onto consumers’ lips…
Cosmetics brand Bourjois has created Magic Mirror – a blended reality experience in its recently relaunched Paris boutique.
When shoppers stand in front of the Bourjois Magic Mirror and pick up a lipstick from its connected shelf, the chosen colour is instantly superimposed on their lips. The shelf also lets beauty lovers complete their digital looks with eye shadows and blush to suit their individual skin tones.
The Magic Mirror was developed by digital studio Holition, London, and in-store retail tech company PERCH, New York. Holition harnessed PERCH’s smart camera, which monitors a defined area for activity, as a trigger for the virtual makeup experience.
The connected stand also includes a selfie feature, which captures people’s digital makeup look and lists all the products used to complete it. The picture can either be printed or emailed, with links redirecting shoppers to the brand’s website.
