Nike introduces augmented reality posters so people can virtually try before they buy.
If you’re shopping on Nike’s e-commerce store, you can access a ‘Reactive Poster’ that lets you see how the brand’s new Epic React sneakers will look like on your feet.
To activate it, you need to access a dedicated microsite through your phone, point the phone’s camera at your feet and hey presto – there are your virtual trainers.
This initiative supports the ever-growing trend of brands experimenting with AR. In fact, global spend on AR and VR products and services is expected to reach $17.8 billion in 2018 – an increase of nearly 95% since 2017.
